It’s that time of year! School Field Days are being planned all across the country. My design came about after a grandma didn’t want her grand kids to go without school shirts because they were a day late in ordering. What grandma’s don’t do for their littles!!!! Designing began with trying to be similar with colors and design. But, not exactly to the design so there is no infringement. Here is the design I came up with.
So, for all of you cricut users the design is free of charge just by following my blog. I am hoping to start doing more designing and offering free designs monthly at this point.
You wonder where this designing comes from…..hahahah…..well I have been drawing since I was little, sitting in the back yard at my Bushia’s house (Polish for grandma). I would go there every day after school while my parents worked. From there I started my education in college toward a mechanical engineering degree that turned into an art degree. Yep, a BA in painting and now, after retiring I am finally enjoying the ability to use what I learned. However, if you are any sort of artist, you know you never really stop being one, you just don’t always have full attention to the one thing that you must have in your life to be fully fulfilled. So…now I will be able to share and do what I love. I hope all of you Cricut users enjoy this design. Please like my Facebook page and share your creations.

As Mother’s Day approaches I find myself taking pause and remembering my mom and all that she meant to me during her short life of 62 years. Not only was she my mom but, she was also my best friend. She was the one that I never wanted to be like but find myself repeating her words to my friends and family. She was a pillar of strength to all that knew her. Her grandchildren have wonderful memories of their ‘gram’. I only hope that I can do the same for my children and grandchildren.
As part of planning for Mother’s Day I’ve created some great shirts for our moms and grandmas. For those of you who have your own vinyl cutters I will include a paragraph at the end giving you the fonts I used as well as the size of the designs to help you make your own gifts.
Now, start making a plan of celebrating your mom, adopted mom or even grandma for this year.
Here are a few shirts that I’ve created for some special grandmas with their own personalized names. Some shirts offer the words “Est. 2015” but I preferred not to include that on my shirts. However, it can be an option.
For those crafters, here is another option:
(I didn’t say it was going to be easy! Create this in WORD or one of the special softwares$$)
FONT USED FOR SHIRTS
– Cooper Black for “MIMI” or “MOM”
– Linotype Notec Pro Regular for the children’s names
– 11.5″ X 2.75″ (this is approximate size and may differ a bit for size of shirt and name being used.
Things have slowed down from Christmas orders and Valentine’s Day. I have gotten tired of the snow in Michigan so I am spending a few weeks in the wonderful southwest Florida sun. Now is my time to design and to bring fresh, and new items to you. You will see more items with embroidery as well as designs for those Cricut and hot press users. All new items will be featured here on our blog and in our product page then you will be available to purchase here and on Etsy.
We are also excited to announce that we will be selling on Amazon Handmade with all of our embroidered and heat press items. Watch for our announcement that we are up and running. We will focus on a lot of personalizing and custom designs initially. Send us good vibes! Hoping this out sells Etsy.
So here is my question to you……..What would you like to see in my shop? Do you want to see more designs that you can purchase; do you want to see more baby gifts, or more embroidered gifts in general? Help me out here ok? Can wait to get your feedback.
